In the region of Lucania, at harvest time, the ancient ritual of Passione del Grano (the passion of wheat) is still celebrated. This etnographic documentary conceals a subtle political judgment of the working conditions and poverty of the farmers in the underdeveloped countryside of Southern Italy.
